Ministries - Providing Shade

Worship is grand. Discipleship is needed. However we desire to move our worship and learning into the world by creating ministries as a church and living out or faith as individuals. We do this as we organize our church to meet a need that God has given us and as simple as how we treat those we come into contact with at the store, restaurant or at school. We are providing "shade".

Teen MOPS -Mothers of Preschoolers - is a ministry to meet needs of girls in our community who are either pregnant or who have a baby. We do not preach at the girls but applaud their decision not to abort and we give them a hand during their first years as a teenage mom. Our "Mops Shop" is a room packed full of clothing and baby supplies.

Father for the Fatherless - as a church we believe that we are to be in ministry with children who do not have a parent or who have become wards of the State. We provide clothing and school supplies and have some members who are foster and adoptive parents.

International House of Prayer (IHOP) - is our daily prayer ministry. We have many people who have volunteered to pray one day per month for all our members by name and our staff.

Youth Spiritual Outdoor Adventures is focused on introducing youth to the Great Outdoors through a variety of year-round adventures and service projects with the purpose of providing physical, mental, and spiritual growth opportunities in the community with caring adults.

Out On A Limb Youth Ministries - is our ministry for youth in grades 7-12. They meet weekly at the Church and take mission trips, go on retreats and other special events.

Zack's Tree House - the name for our children's ministry named for Zacchaeus who wanted to see Jesus. From their vantage point we teach a Christian value per month. We have three lead teachers plus many other volunteers who teach Sunday mornings through skits, music, stories and interactive play.

Seeds and Saplings Nursery - is for our babies through kindergarten. The nursery is staffed by volunteers during our Sunday morning worship service.

Wednesday Night Prayer - Prayer is the engine which powers our church. Each Wednesday night at 6:00 we meet as a church to pray for ministries, our members and special needs of the community.

Shades of Grace - is our ministry for women. The women of our church can testify that God's grace comes in different "shades" for different stages of their growth. They meet monthly to fellowship and pray together.

The Gate - is an outreach to young adults who have a developmental handicap. The Gateway to Independence is a cooperative effort between our church and many parents, teachers and others in our community who have a heart for these young students.

The Joshua Resource Center is a  tax-deductible, 501(c)(3) faith based organization that was established in the year 2000.  Our vision is to provide a safe place for people to refocus, to be trained and to experience the love of Christ.

Family Promise of Blount Co. - is a local affiliate of the national Family Promise organization. Our mission is to help homeless families get back into permanent housing. This is accomplished by a network of churches within Blount Co. that host families on a week-to-week basis.
